Sylvain Portelance

Sylvain has more than 25 years of experience in the securities, compliance, governance, and operations sectors. He joined iA Global Asset Management in 2021 and currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer, following a progression of increasingly senior responsibilities within the Compliance team.

He leads the organization’s compliance program and oversees regulatory compliance, portfolio surveillance, and operational risk management activities while ensuring the effectiveness of the internal control framework.

Prior to joining iA Global Asset Management, Sylvain spent nearly 20 years at Casgrain & Company Limited, where he held various positions in operations, financial compliance, and regulatory compliance.

Sylvain holds a multidisciplinary bachelor's degree from Université Laval, with studies in management, law, and accounting.
